تناقش الفنانات المشاركات في معرض “في تتبع الترحال والرحيل” محددات وسياسات وأخلاقيات التعامل مع الأرشيفات العائلية، الشخصية وغير الشخصية، من وجهة نظرهن، وبالرجوع إلى رحلة تطوير مشاريعهن المعروضة حالياً. 

من خلال تسليط الضوء على أسئلة وتساؤلات حول الحق في استخدام الأرشيفات العائلية وتطويعها وإعادة قراءتها، وأحيانًا التلاعب بها، تستعرض الفنانات في هذه الجلسة الحوارية أساليبهن الخاصة في تناول جوانب الخصوصية والحميمية والانتقائية في الأرشيفات والسرديات العائلية، وكيف للوسائط الفنية البصرية أن تقدّم ترجمتها الخاصة للذكريات والسرديات والصور والوثائق والمذكرات والشهادات العائلية، وتتقاطع معها. 

يدير الجلسة الحوارية منسق المعرض، الفنان رائد إبراهيم.

In this panel, the artists featured in Travelling Archives/Tracing Narratives group exhibition will discuss the determinants, ethics and politics, of dealing with family archives, personal and nonpersonal, from their point of view referencing their journey in developing the works currently on display. 

By shedding light on questions and concerns regarding the right to use, adapt, re-read, and, sometimes, manipulate family archives, the artists will walk us through their methods and practices of addressing aspects of privacy, intimacy, and selectivity in their projects, and how visual mediums could help provide their own interpretation of family memories, narratives, photographs, documents, memoirs, and testimonies. 

The panel discussion will be moderated by artist Raed Ibrahim, the exhibition curator.
